Bach az aluljárókba megy

bachJ.

On March 21, 2011 – Bach’s 326th birthday – cellists Eric Edberg, Michael Lunapiena, and Dale Henderson performed Bach in the Subways at different stations in New York City. Bach in the Subways Day was born. With the enthusiasm of musicians like oboist Kristin Olson, the number grew to 13 the following year and caught the attention of the Wall Street Journal. In 2013 45 musicians in five U.S. cities shared the joy of Bach on March 21, covered by Time Out New York, the New York Post, and WQXR Classical FM with a google map of all NYC performances. In 2014 no less than 77 musicians in 8 U.S. cities as well as cities in Canada, Germany, and Taiwan officially made Bach in the Subways an international movement.

A growing volunteer network of musicians and organizers are working now for Bach’s 330th birthday on Saturday, March 21, 2015. With musicians in well over 30 cities across the world already planning to participate, Bach in the Subways Day 2015 will be the biggest and most far-reaching yet!
