City in My Mind filmpályázat

A hely, ahol élek. A város, ahol felnőttem. A város, ahová mindig visszatérek. A város, ahol otthon vagyok. Számtalan módon viszonyulhatunk közösségi létünk elemi teréhez, a városhoz. A digitális technika térnyerésének köszönhetően ma már szinte bárki készíthet filmet, a mozgókép egyetemes anyanyelvünkké vált, amely képes a legegyszerűbb és legbonyolultabb érzéseink, gondolataink kifejezésére, valamint különböző kultúrák összekapcsolására.

A Hungarofest Nonprofit Kft. – együttműködésben a Daazo.com – Európai Rövidfilmes Központtal – rövidfilmpályázatot ír ki maximum 3 perces filmalkotások számára. A City in My Mind pályázat tematikáját hét kiválasztott város határozza meg, ezekhez kell kapcsolódniuk a beküldött filmeknek – akár egészen konkrét, akár szabad, asszociatív módon.

A szóban forgó városok: Sepsiszentgyörgy, Eszék, Magyarkanizsa, Nagyszőlős, Lendva, Párkány, Alsóőr-Felsőőr – tehát a 2011 május 8-i Európa Nap helyszínei.

A City in My Mind filmpályázat bárki előtt nyitva áll: azok előtt is akik most ismerkednek a kamerával, illetve akik már profiként bánnak vele. Egyszemélyes stábok és csapatok (családok, osztályok, iskolák, klubok, baráti társaságok, stb.) is feltölthetik filmjeiket, bármely ország bármely nemzetiségű állampolgára jelentkezhet.

A filmek műfaja szabadon választható: fikciós rövidfilmek, kreatív dokumentumfilmek, vagy akár klasszikus műfajú alkotások (pl. sci-fi, horror, musical) egyaránt szerepelhetnek a pályázaton, amennyiben kapcsolatba hozhatóak a fent említett helyszínekkel.

A filmeket bármilyen eszközzel (mobiltelefon, fényképezőgép, HD kamera) lehet rögzíteni. A készre vágott, legfeljebb 3 perces, angol feliratos műveket a daazo.com-ra kell feltölteni.Egy pályázó egy pályaművet adhat be városonként, vagyis egy pályázó összesen 7 filmalkotást tölthet fel.

Mind a hét város külön kategóriának számít és a szakmai zsűri mindegyik kategóriában minősíti a legjobb alkotást, amelyet a Daazo.com értékes díjjal, egy Samsung Galaxy Tab érintőképernyős táblagéppel jutalmaz, a Hungarofest jóvoltából. Ezen kívül a legnépszerűbb film közönségdíjban részesül. A szakmai zsűri elnöke Cakó Ferenc Arany Medve-díjas animációs filmrendező.

A filmeket április 29-ig kell feltölteni a Daazo.com-ra. A díjakat május 8-án a helyi Európa Nap eseményének keretében adják át a zsűri képviselői.

„City in My Mind” Regional Short Film Contest Calls For Entries

The place where I live. The town where I grew up. The city where you always return. The city that I call my home.

We can adjust to the center of our community and the city in countless ways. With the digital technology gaining momentum in popularity, almost everyone can create their own movie. Movies became part of our lives, they can express our simplest or deepest feelings or thoughts, and they can connect different cultures.

Hungarofest Ltd., in cooperation with Daazo.com, the European Short Film Centre, invited entries for a competition for short films with duration of 3 minutes maximum. The City in My Mind project focuses on seven chosen cities, the film entries must be connected to the cities mentioned before, in a particular or an associative way.

The seven cities are the following: Sepsiszentgyörgy (Sfântu Gheorghe), Eszék (Osijek), Magyarkanizsa (Kaniža), Nagyszőlős (Vynohradiv), Lendva (Lendava), Párkány (Štúrovo), Alsóőr-Felsőőr (Unterwart-Oberwart) – in other words the places that give home to the „European Day” held on 8 May 2011.

The City in My Mind film contest is free for anyone: for those who have just got acquainted with the camera and for the professionals as well. Crews consisting of one or more contenders (families, classes, schools, clubs, friends etc.) can upload their movies. Citizens of any country or nationality may apply.

The genre of the short film is the choice of its creator: fictional films, creative documentaries, even classic genres are acceptable (sci-fi, horror, musical) in case they can be connected to the above-mentioned locations.

Technical and other terms and conditions

The movies can be shot by any device (mobile phones, cameras, HD cameras). The final versions have to be cut, and shall be maximum 3 minutes long, with English subtitles. An applicant/candidate/participant may upload/submit only one film per city; in other words, one person can submit seven short films, not more.

The entries will be judged by a group of 8 professionals, the president of the jury being: Ferenc Cakó, Berlinale winner animation director.

Each of the seven cities count as a different category, and the jury will declare a winner for each of them. The best films will be awarded with a Samsung Galaxy Tab  touch-screen tablet device provided by Hungarofest. In addition, the most popular film, the audience favorite, which collects the most „likes” on Daazo.com will be awarded with a special prize.

The short films should be uploaded to daazo.com until 29 April 00:00. The awards will be declared on the „European Day” 8 May by the jury.
