In the beginning ITS was only a fashion competition, and fashion is still a big part of our DNA. It’s also the starting point for the development of the other contest areas. We would have never got this far without the support of major brand DIESEL. They have been with ITS from the very beginning and give us tangible support, also through the assignment of the Diesel Award, an important prize for one of the fashion competition finalists.
Avery Dennison Retail Branding and Information Solutions, a global leader in integrated apparel branding solutions, is back as a Fashion Partner of ITS 2013 challenging the finalists with a special apparel branding project as part of their Collections. The winner of the Avery Dennison Brand Innovation Award will receive €5,000. About 10-15 finalists will be selected to come to Trieste, Italy on 12-13 July 2013. ITS 2013 will be a showcase of the highest expressions of creativity from the world’s leading fashion schools.

ITS is a real bridge between fashion schools and the fashion industry, and all of the work placements, internships and special projects granted to the finalists after the event prove it. Have a look at the past finalists now page! We collaborate regularly for work placements with brands like Diesel (of course), Antonio Marras, MaxMara, Armani and Viktor & Rolf, to mention just a few. Major industry players also offer their support.
Fashion Collection of the Year
The winner will attend ITS in 2014 to present a new collection and be part of the Fashion Jury. EVE will cover all expenses and handle the production and organisation of the presentation, giving the winner €15,000 towards the development of the new collection. The evaluation criteria are: creativity, innovation, feasibility.
The Diesel Award aims to ensure that fashion students’ dreams become a reality by offering them the most tangible way to support their breakthrough into the international fashion scene. The award consists of a cash prize of €25,000 that the winner can use, without limitations, to promote their work in the best possible way and to invest in their career. It will be awarded to the finalist who develops the best special project for Diesel. This project was conceived by Diesel for this year’s candidates. On top of that, the winner will be offered an internship within the Diesel Creative Team at its HQ in Italy to discover all the secrets of working in an innovative fashion company.
Fashion Special Prize
The winner will be awarded a cash prize of €5,000. The award will be assigned taking into consideration pure creativity only.

The winner of the Avery Dennison Brand Innovation Award will receive €5,000.
