Young Balkan Designers 2011

YOUNG BALKAN DESIGNERS 2011 – Pályázat bútor, világítási és lakberendezési kiegészítők tervezésére, olyan eredeti újraértelmezések, amelyek megoldást nyújtanak a mindennapi problémákra.

Általános feltételek: 35 évesnél fiatalabb magánszemélyek vehetnek részt ebben a versenyben. A verseny nyitott és nyilvános.

A projekt leírása: Pályázat bútor, világítási és lakberendezési kiegészítők tervezésére, olyan eredeti újraértelmezések, amelyek megoldást nyújtanak a mindennapi problémákra.

A termékeket az alábbi kritériumok alapján fogjuk értékelni: az ergonómia és az innovatív funkciók kiszolgálása úgy, hogy javítsák a termékek minőségét, az ésszerű előállítási költségeit és a környezetbarát gyártási folyamatokat.

A regisztráció és a pályázati beadványok:
A pályázók regisztrálhatják magukat, és a projekt beadványokat benyújthatják a Young Balkan Designers pályázatra on-line a http://www.mikser.rs címre 2010. november 15-től kezdve, 2010. december 20-ig.

A pályázat nem vehető figyelembe, ha az alábbi információk hiányosak.

Eredményhírdetés: a benyújtási határidőtől számított 30 napon belül

Minden díjazott projekt tulajdonosnak el kell készítenie a munkája prototípusát , és benyújtani/elküldeni a Mikser-nek 2011. március 20-ig.

MIKSER a beküldött pályázati munkák prototípusait támogatni fogja, vállalja a promotálásukat/publikálásukat a nyilvánosságban, egy időszakra. Amely majd 2011. márciustól 2012. márciusig tart.

Díj: a MIKSER egy éven keresztül promótálja az nyertes munkákat, és bemutatja a Milan Furniture Fair 2011 nemzetközi kiállításon.

General terms
Eligibility: The competition is open to all persons 35 years of age and younger. Applicants can be individual authors or groups of authors. Each applicant can submit more than one project.

Project description
The project competition focuses on industrial design. Furniture, lighting and home accessories that represent original solutions to everyday problems will be evaluated according to the following criteria: ergonomics and innovative features that serve to enhance the quality of a product; rational production costs; environmental friendly production processes. The entry may not have been previously produced or exhibited elsewhere.

Award
MIKSER will promote the award winner(s) for one year with intense promotional activities and an international exhibition tour, the world premiere of which will take place at the acclaimed Milan Furniture Fair 2011, within the scope of Salone Satellite – the largest international talent show for young designers. After its premiere in Milan, the Young Balkan Designers tour continues: Mikser festival in Belgrade (Serbia), Dan D in Zagreb (Croatia), Skopje Design Week (FRY Macedonia), Weekend Media Festival in Rovinj (Croatia), Vienna Design Week (Austria), Month of Design in Ljubljana (Slovenia), etc.

Deadlines
The competition starts on 1 November 2010, and lasts until 20 December 2010. The jury will announce the results within 30 days of the final submission deadline. Each award recipient must build a prototype of their work and submit it to MIKSER by 20 March 2011. MIKSER will promote, publicize and exhibit the winning entries from March 2011 to March 2012.

Registration and project submissions
Applicants will be able to register and submit their projects by filling in a Young Balkan Designers form online at www.mikser.rs starting from 15 November until 20 December 2010. Application will contain the following information:

Info about the author(s): First name / Last name / Date of Birth / City, Country / E-mail address / Telephone number /CV (Short Biography) in English up to 500 words / Web site (if any)

Info about the project(s):

• Project category (furniture, lighting, etc.)
• Project title
• Written description of the project in English up to 500 words
• Upload of the main image of the project – signature image (3D), JPG, RGB, resolution up to max 2000×2000 pixels, size up to 1 MB
• Upload of additional images, maximum 4 (3D, plans, sketches, photographs, etc.), JPG, RGB, resolution up to max 2000×2000 pixels, size max 1 MB per image
• Electronically signed statement: “In the event that my project is selected, I hereby confirm that I will build a prototype of my project and submit it / send it at my own expense to Mikser until 20th March 2011. I also give permission to MIKSER to publicize, exhibit and tour it, from March 2011 to March 2012.”

All entries which fail to contain all of the above info and documents will not be taken into consideration.

Cost
All organizational costs of the Young Balkan Designers exhibitions for the duration of one contract year starting after submission of prototypes to Mikser in March 2011 until the end of March 2012, including transportation and storage of prototypes in-between exhibitions, fair fees, costs of stand building, professional photography, promotional materials: web site, print brochure, flyers, etc., public relations activities and human resources are covered by Mikser. Selected designers produce prototypes at their own expense and are covering shipping / transportation costs of prototypes to Mikser Office in Belgrade in March 2010 and from Mikser Office in March 2012.

Final provisions
Decisions of the jury are final. Any claims arising in relation to the authorship of the design or of possible plagiarism thereof, will be the responsibility of the designer. In the event of non-fulfillment of any of the rules herein, the design submitted will be excluded from the Competition.
